family history
This website is about my research into my family history. There is a section of this website for the ancestry of each of my grandparents, that is the Wards, Parrys, Kemps and Stewarts. The forst three of those families arrived in Australia during the colonial era. Isabella Stewart, my maternal grandmother, wwas the only ancestor to arrive after Australian federation.
My main project over the last few years has been my father's side and the results are being added progressively to the fward and Parry page below. You will get to the same documents through the Ward and Parry pages, which are being progressively updated as I finalise my draft of each chapter. Any interesting new discoveries are featured in the blog embedded at the end of this page.
Wards and Parrys - biography of an Australian family
This is my current project, to publish a family biography from my grandparents back to their family origins in 1770s Britain.
The Ward family of Gosford, starting from my paternal grandfather, Eric Ward.
The Parry family of Gosford, starting from my paternal grandmother, Lena Parry.
The Kemp family of Newcastle and Stanthorpe, starting from my maternal grandfather Les Kemp (Herbert Lesley Kemp).
The Stewart family of Edinburgh, Scotland, starting from my maternal grandmother, Isabella Stewart.
